More than Enough

It has become incredibly easy to be engulfed in your anxieties, concerns, and insecurities when a great deal of today’s culture and social norms seems to be based around the perception that everyone deserves something, whatever that may be. Sure it is alright and perfectly fine and reasonable to have big ambitions or goals in life. Where many of us struggle resides in balancing our hopes & dreams with the world in which we live. Aspects of depression, stress and anxiety can creep into your life and overwhelm your thoughts and emotions; result in being bogged in a quagmire of decreased pride or self-worth, as you become stuck in a self-defeating cycle of measuring your life to someone else’s.

If you find yourself in such a state of mind, then one simple little phrase of “I am enough” can be used to transform your thoughts. Repeating this thought on a regular basis can help give you a sense that everything is okay. This allows you to instil a new found sense of happiness or inner contentment, transforming the direction of your life for the better.

Reconnect to Your Spirituality

We all want to reconnect to the spiritual or inner aspects of ourselves, but how often does the ritual supplant the actual endeavours? If you undertake meditation in the hope of enlightenment or knowledge, precisely how much time, and with whom you meditate, ought to not be the driving imperative or the reason for doing meditation. When the apparent aesthetics or actions become more important than our true experience and connection with the inner self, then ritual predominates and prevails over the spiritual discipline. It is then that the connection to your true self is lost and you lose your way.

What is more important in reconnecting to your spirituality is that your meditation or spiritual practice has really enabled you to reach within to your inner self. The greatest achievement is in comprehending how your spiritual practice has allowed you to change your heart and transform your thoughts and feelings into those of kindness and humility. Always make every effort to reconnect to your inner self through meditation or in your spiritual efforts as this can enable growth and bring to light a genuine and authentic awakening.

Transform Your Reactions

Stop and discover how to command your mind, instead of your mind, emotions and feelings being the commander of your life. Tapping into the energies of your inner light or Life Force through cognition can aid you to shift away from the patterns of your passive intellect. Doing so permits you to liberate your thinking as you release your way of thinking from your mental and emotional limitations and the associated reactions of the lower consciousness.

Using these skills of meditation or cognition in everyday life can enable you to shift your cognitive and mental wavelengths to become calm, well balanced and in control rather than the reactions of your lower consciousness being the master of your life and destiny.

Everyday Kindness

Kindness is greater than merely an elementary word or a disposable expression. The real intent of kindness is manifest by means of your thoughts and actions every single day. Kindness is personified with the inner countenances of harmlessness, which can aid you to re-establish the balance in your life and redress the karma we all carry. Come to be that individual of true and unquestionable kindness to expand happiness and no hurt into the world around you.

The Sixth Sense

You may believe we have more than five senses, however, one sense is routinely neglected. That is common sense, as it appears to be seldom acknowledged and frequently in short supply. Your sixth (common) sense is not a conventional sense of the physical body. You may identify that common sense is not intrinsic in everyone to a similar degree, rather it is derived from awareness and is an integral part of your thought processes.

Encountering your common sense is about becoming more aware, taking the bigger picture into view and taking into consideration the effects of any one of your thoughts or actions. As you become more mindful of your common sense, you may sometimes feel through the pit of your stomach. At other times, common sense or sound judgement can seem akin to the quiet whisper originating from the back of your head, informing you to be aware or do something another way.

Throughout your day, ask yourself if you have suitably considered your thoughts or actions. Being aware of the repercussions of any thoughts or actions can be the most significant step in learning how to tap into your sixth (common) sense.

Not my Goggle Box

Increasingly the thoughts of many people are being affected by external sources such as reality TV, and influencers on social media. Every day millions of us are being bombarded by messages, images and videos from these various sources. It is becoming normal that people accept what they see or hear without questioning its content or validity to their own lives. On acceptance, it can then become integrated into your own programmed thinking.

Realise how you can react to situations or events with the programmed thinking which was manufactured for mass consumption. Make the smart choice to not act as if you were participating in an episode of Goggle box. Break free from this social conditioning to be your own life influencer.

Focus on Change

Many times in life, we are distracted by things that upset us, cause worry or tension. If you were to closely examine your life, you would find many aspects appear to be out of your control. However, many people continue to try to change these seemingly immovable things in life.

To bring about some true and meaningful change, focus your intentions on the things in life which you can change, rather than dwelling on what apparently is out of your control.

The illusion of Solidity

Even though the physical form seems solid, science tells us that it is not so, the physical form is largely void. At an anatomical level, our body consists of various systems. These systems are comprised of various cells which perform specific functions necessary for the operation and wellbeing of the entire mechanism. At the microscopic level, the cells are the basic biological and functional unit.

The cells are comprised of smaller components such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and other substances. These cellular components are composed of atoms, which are in turn composed of smaller sub-atomic particles. Between and around these sub-atomic components are vast amounts of apparent nothingness. So while we all appear solid, at the sub-atomic level we appear largely empty. However, there is more to this emptiness. This quantum void is infused with the finite aspects of the universal force to maintain the structure of matter and maintain the illusion of solidity.

Be Mindful All Day

Mindfulness can be applied almost anytime and anywhere, be that standing in a queue, sitting at your desk or carrying out household tasks. You can apply aspects of mindfulness through your breathing or observation of sensations in your body.

Mindfulness at its most basic principle is becoming aware, though few of us have considered the winder context this implies. As you work to apply Mindfulness all day, take the opportunity to grow your experience. As you can become aware of your breathing or sensations in your body, you can progress to become aware of your own thoughts. As you increase your awareness, observe how your thoughts arise within your mind and how your reactions can lead to seemingly unconscious thoughts. The more that you become aware of all aspects of your life, the more profound your mindfulness experiences will be.

Your Spark of Life

Your Spark of Life is the true unemotional component within you. It is an omnipresent force within you, representing the seed of creative energy of the cosmos. Within many ancient writings, it has been described as the capability of Gods within. Such writings have been referring to your creative Spark of Life within, which means that you are a creative being. However, you need to take this in the context that you are an energy being. Expressed more simply, you are part of the Universal Presence manifesting within material life.

Aligning Science and Astrology

Some may find new forms of Astrology hard to believe, as they have associated with being a certain star sign for all of their life. However, most forms of astrology do not align with the science of astronomy and the observations of the sky due to two factors: the precession (or drift) of the equinoxes & the dimensions of constellations.

The cornerstone of Astronomical Astrology is the actual observable locations of the Sun, Moon or planets in relation to the eighteen constellations of the extended zodiac.

Astronomical Astrology does not dismiss the aspects of what someone has believed throughout their life, as it must be realised that thoughts are their own energies, which can form a layer of reality around an individual. In which case you may find that you exhibit aspects of the star sign you think you are, but at the time you will find that you react sub-consciously due to the energies which are the actual astronomical aspects.

What is the Zodiac?

In astronomy, the zodiac is a group of constellations that is present behind the path which the Sun, Moon and planets transverse across the sky, as seen from our planet Earth. The Zodiac occupies a small eight-degree view on either side of an imaginary line known as the ecliptic. The ecliptic is the plane of Earth’s orbit around the Sun, which in effect traces a path of the Sun’s movement around the celestial sphere each year.

The constellations of the zodiac are named after figures, animals and objects from Greek or earlier mythology. The ecliptic line passes directly through the thirteen constellations of: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpius, Ophiuchus, Sagittarius, Capricornus, Aquarius and Pisces. The ecliptic also passes very close to the constellations of Auriga, Corvus, Cetus, Orion & Sextans, which means that on some occasions the Moon or planets may actually transverse these other constellations. Astronomical Astrology identifies this group of 18 constellations as the extended zodiac.

A New Form of Astrology

Astrology has been steeped in misconception and superstitious notions for many years, yet has normally been considered detached from the scientific discipline of astronomy and the observation of the stars. With Astronomical Astrology, these two discordant areas of knowledge are merged, bringing to light astrology backed by scientific research and the actual observations of the Sun, Moon and planets throughout the skies. This unique form of astrology considers the comprehensive movement of the planets and the stars, taking into account the precession of the equinoxes due to the long-term wobble of our planet.

The awareness, understanding and comprehension of the energies which influence and affront you is key to grasping how you live your life. The energies which are patterned by the Sun, Moon and planets as they transit through the constellations influence you, and form the basis of Astronomical Astrology.

Falling Asleep while Meditating

There are several reasons people can feel sleepy when mediating. The fundamental key is that you need to learn to be in control to stay master of your mind and body, instead of your mind controlling your body.

If you have had an overwhelming day or struggle with stress, then you may discover that you frequently become sleepy during the course of your meditation, as your body starts to destress from the pressures of your life. If you routinely experience this, then take some time-out to stand or splash some water on your face prior to proceeding.

During the afternoon, many people experience an energy slump, so instead, they choose to practice meditation in the morning when the body is awake. It is also common that a relaxed sitting posture can contribute to the impulse to nod off, so take the opportunity to get started with some good posture before you begin your meditation.

A far more perplexing reason why you might become sleepy during your meditation is because your mind controls your life. You may uncover that it is your mind which is wielding control, drawing you away from your meditation. Essentially your mind exerts control over you, impeding your ability to effectively practice meditation. As you continue to meditate, you can strive to take back control from your mind, nevertheless be aware that your mind is going to resist relinquishing control at any cost.

Apply your Intellect

As individuals, each of us differs from one another in our ability to understand complex ideas, to adapt effectively to our environment, to learn from experience and to engage in various forms of reasoning through the application of active intelligence. These differences are never entirely consistent, as your intellectual capabilities will vary on different occasions and in different aspects of your life.
