What is illumement?

Illumement, like other practices such as meditation, has many different connotations depending upon the reason for undertaking them. Illumement can be simply stated as being at one with your true self. Through learning to bring quietness to your mind and silencing the endless noise of your thoughts, emotions and feelings, gradually the essence of your true self, the Life Force, begins to emerge. Illumement, in its simple and purest form, is all-encompassing harmlessness to be at one with yourself.

The Energy Keys

Throughout the ages, adepts of every time and place have achieved higher levels of an awakening of their Life Force through the understanding of colour and sound as a fundamental key to the energies of life. Hidden within many aspects of the Kabbalah are the keys to accessing such energies through the combination of sound, colour, number and vibration. Such knowledge provides a means of understanding how colour and sound interplay providing keys to the energies of life.

Do not Feed Detrimental Emotions

It is important that you must learn to master your thoughts and emotions and not just try to suppress or bury them. In the process of mastering your thoughts and emotions, it is important to observe or be aware of that aspect within you. As soon as you acknowledge or observe their presence, then you should strive to remove those unwanted aspects from within or around you. Get rid of any detrimental thought or emotion – do not feed it by dwelling on the matter. This should be your motto to help you master your thoughts.

Joy in your Heart

When you find yourself in an unpleasant mood, consider that you cannot be open to new ideas, regardless of just how fantastic they are.  Without some joy in your heart, life can seem slow and often uninteresting. On the other hand, when you are happy, joyful or in a positive frame of mind, your heart, as well as your mind, are open to brand-new things.  Even thing which may have seemed normal holds a greater significance as you enjoy every moment that life had to offer.

Living Life on Autopilot

As life becomes busier, it is often easy to lose track of what you did from one week to the next. Moving through life on autopilot may seem like an effective way to get things done, but often you are just carrying out daily tasks. Take a moment to disengage the autopilot and pause at least once a day, to experience the moment and wonder of life. Then you will find that life can become more meaningful and you will experience the simple everyday moments that make life beautiful.

Awareness is Enlightening

Pay your attention to all things in life, they are more important than you may realise. As you give more focus to each passing moment, life will no longer seem to be passing you by. You can use the period of introspection to increase your awareness of your inner self and lead to your own enlightenment.

Lessons of Life

It is commonly stated that life teaches us through our mistakes. When you slip up, simply ask yourself what you were destined to learn, as opposed to searching for justifications or to find others to blame. We grow more from our mistakes, errors or blunders when we recognise and accept such lessons with humility and grace.

When Ritual Reigns

Ritual can take over if the essence of your true self is forgotten. Our outward appearances can come to be more important than our inner experience when ritual reigns and dominates the spiritual practice. For instance, if you practice meditation in the hope of enlightenment, how much time, and with whom you meditate, should not be the driving imperative. It is actually more important how your meditation or spiritual practise has allowed you to reach within to your inner self. The greatest value is understanding how your spiritual practice has enabled you to change your heart and transform your thoughts and feelings to those people around you. Always strive to reconnect to your inner self in your spiritual endeavours, allowing you to transform your thoughts and bring to light authentic awakening

Year for Change

One thing which is certain in the world is that change is inescapable. The quicker you recognise that changes transpire as an intrinsic and healthy part of life, the more fluidly and in harmony, your life will likely unfurl. A beneficial lesson, which can be grasped on life’s journey, is that you are much better and wiser to take control of your life and circumstances.  Recognise when it is time to make favourable adjustments, and afterwards, proactively make that change take place for yourself.

Good Vibrations

Good vibrations pertains to more than the words encapsulated in a handful of tunes, they offer a simple route to leading a happier life. All our emotions and thoughts resonate at varying frequencies, according to their energy signature. Then those energies will induce a sympathetic resonance within you and you are affected by the emotion when you are resonating at the same frequency. It then stands to reason that negativity can only influence you if you are resonating at the same frequency or harmonic. If you start to feel down or negative, at that moment take on some good vibrations to elevate the frequency of your thinking above any negative thoughts.

In the Moment

There are often times during the course of a day when you can direct your attention to help bring facets of calmness within you. As you take a walk down the street, or by way of the park, you might focus on the sounds you take in. What is important is that you are in that present, as you can use these techniques without the rigour of a schedule – you can gain from their application any time in your life.

Time to Meditate

There are no preeminent times to practice meditation, however, most will concur that it is necessary to develop some time for you, no matter the time of day. While conventional meditation practice in a relaxing location where you are less likely to be distracted is valuable, you can apply aspects of your cognition, mindfulness or meditation at any time or place. Undoubtedly, it is in these hectic, stressful or uncontrolled times when you need the real benefits of these meditative practices the most.

An Instrumental Mind

If made use of intelligently and listened to objectively, the mind is an exceptional instrument. However, if employed wrongly it can end up being unruly and destructive as it takes control of your life and dictates your emotions. Paying attention to your mind objectively pertains to your capacity to hear your own thoughts without being unduly affected by the actuality that you are the one who originated them. It is not an easy thing to do, as you listen to your thoughts with objectivity. Meaning that you must cultivate the courage to fairly assess them as they arise and make a choice to accept, modify or reject them.

When you are feeling down or unhappy, acknowledge that you are not the voice of your mind, however, you are the one that hears it.

Higher Frequency Emotions

In and of itself, emotions themselves are neutral, being formed of energy. The coarser, or what some would term negative emotions resonate at lower frequencies. What you think of as emotion is actually the experience of energy moving through your physical body. We experience emotion as energy frequencies and their correlating physical sensations in the body. Feelings are the interpretation and labels we apply to the experience of emotion, such as happy or sad. Take the time to shift the frequency of your emotions to a higher energy frequency, bringing more positivity into your life.

From Nothingness

Everything which is manifested ultimately arises from silence. Your most pure thoughts arise from the nothingness of silence. Your words appear more profoundly if they have likewise come from the silence within. Your very essence, your Life Force emerged from the emptiness of the void.
