That reference point has not been updated. Due to the precession of the equinoxes, the sky has shifted by approximately 23 degrees such that the vernal equinox now falls in Pisces. Like the geocentric model, tropical astrology has not been without its defenders, its internal corrections and its elaborate justifications.
