Cultivating Wonder

You once possessed a natural capacity for wonder, seeing each experience as new and remarkable, approaching the world with fresh eyes that found magic in ordinary things. Children live in this state effortlessly, marvelling at insects, captivated by clouds, delighted by patterns of light on water. Yet somewhere along your journey into adulthood, you may have lost this quality through the grinding familiarity of repeated experiences and the relentless pace of living. Along the way, wonder became categorised as childish, something to be outgrown along with fairy tales and imaginary friends, dismissed as impractical daydreaming that has no place in adult life. This loss represents one of the great tragedies of conventional maturity, yet few people recognise what they have sacrificed in the name of growing up.

Wonder is not childish, but rather it can be a sophisticated spiritual state that recognises the astonishing miracle of existence itself. When you truly contemplate that anything exists at all rather than nothing, that consciousness arose from matter, that you somehow became aware of your own awareness, that the universe organised itself into stars and planets and eventually into beings capable of questioning their own existence, you encounter genuine wonder. This is not naive optimism or denial of reality’s difficulties but a choice to remain aware of existence’s mystery and beauty, even as you handle necessary tasks and navigate genuine challenges. You can acknowledge suffering whilst still marvelling at the intricate complexity of a single flower. You can face difficulties whilst remaining astonished that you are here to face them at all. Wonder does not require perfect circumstances but rather a shift in perception that refuses to take existence for granted, simply because you have become accustomed to it.

Wonder must be cultivated deliberately because your default mode moves towards familiarity and automation. You can actively seek wonder in so many ways every day. Wonder can be found in nature’s endless creativity, in human ingenuity or artistic expression, in the miraculous workings of your own body and in the mysterious depths of your own mind, to name just a few. Take a moment to simply watch how your hand moves according to your intention, consider how your brain translates chemical signals into the experience of taste, or observe how thoughts arise seemingly from nowhere. These everyday things become invisible through repetition unless you consciously choose to see them. This practice of simple observation counteracts the deadening effect of routine that turns your life into an endless series of automatic responses.

When you approach existence with wonder, you are essentially saying yes to the adventure of being alive, embracing its uncertainty and perpetual newness, rather than trying to make everything known, controlled and safely predictable. Wonder opens you to possibilities, where cynicism sees only limitations. It keeps you curious and allows you to be surprised, whereas jadedness expects disappointment. Wonder is the antidote to the cynicism that poisons so many lives, the doorway back to the enchantment that makes existence worth experiencing rather than enduring. This does not mean forcing false positivity or pretending difficulties do not exist, but rather refusing to allow hardship to close your eyes to the nature of the reality you inhabit. You can hold both truth and wonder simultaneously, acknowledging what is difficult whilst remaining astonished by what is beautiful and in this balance, you discover a way of being that neither denies reality nor succumbs to the weight of taking it all for granted.

Embrace the Light Within

Your inner Life Force, like a flower, is naturally expressive and beautiful but can become closed off by negative thoughts, actions, and emotions. When you let go of material distractions and open yourselves to the light of higher awareness, you uncover your true beauty and potential. By opening yourself to the light: embracing positive energy and releasing material attachments, you allow your true, higher selves to blossom. By embracing this light, you can awaken and express the most authentic aspect of your true self.

The Quantum Void and the Energy Within

While our physical bodies appear solid, science reveals that we are mostly empty space at the subatomic level. From organ systems to cells, then down to atoms and subatomic particles, vast amounts of nothingness exist within and around these components. However, this emptiness is not truly void; it is a quantum void infused with the aether and universal energy that maintains the structure of matter and creates the illusion of solidity. These hidden aspects of the quantum void are the basis of the elusive dark matter that science is trying to identify or discover. Understanding this reveals that we are not simply solid forms but dynamic fields of energy connected to the universe. Embrace the truth: we are both full of potential and connected to the universe in ways we can’t fully grasp.

Your Inner Voice

Have you ever paused amidst the frenzy of daily life, only to catch the faint echo of a thought seemingly emanating from the depths of your being or the back of your mind? It can be a subtle whisper, almost lost in the background chatter of your mind, yet it seems to carry a profound weight, a hint of something far deeper than the fleeting thoughts of everyday existence.  You may consider that it is a guiding voice, your inner consciousness. Perhaps it is the mythical Jiminy Cricket or a celestial guiding angel.

This voice, this gentle murmur from the back of your head, is not the tirade of your ego, nor the echoes of past experiences. It is the whisper of your Life Force Mind, a realm of pure consciousness that lies at the core of your being.

Unlike the thoughts that arise from the surface of consciousness perpetually engaged in the ebb and flow of daily life, the Life Force Mind operates from a deeper conscious level. Freed from the weight of daily distractions and reactive emotions, your Life Force Mind can provide a unique outlook on your life.  Less burdened by the limitations of the everyday mind, it offers a clearer perspective, a vantage point from which to discern the essence of who you truly are. This hidden sanctuary is a reservoir of self-awareness, understanding and knowledge of the domain we all inhabit.

The thoughts that arise from this inner sanctum of your Life Force Mind are not mere reflections of external stimuli; they are the expressions of your deepest wisdom, a distillation of the innate knowledge that resides within you. When you pause and listen to these subtle whispers, you open yourself to a wellspring of guidance, a source of clarity that can illuminate your life.  Your Life Force Mind is a powerful mental domain which provides a doorway to cognitive powers of your inner self, the true you.

Reactions of your Passive Intellect

The passive intellect is responsible for your automatic thoughts, emotions, and reactions. The reactions of your passive intellect, the part of your mind that operates unconsciously and typically without your conscious awareness, can be one of the biggest challenges in your life. It is as if your mind is acting on autopilot, but you are not fully aware of what has been programmed into the autopilot, so you typically react without any awareness.

By becoming the observer of your thoughts and emotions, you can become aware of the thoughts and emotions of your unconsciousness and start letting go of the negative ones. Through this increasing sense of awareness, you may begin to realise that your thoughts and emotions are simply thoughts and emotions, rather than truths about yourself or the world. This is a powerful shift, allowing you to take back control of your thinking and emotions so that they

To become an observer of your thoughts and emotions, you need to strive for a quiet and calm mind.  Developing a quiet and calm mind is not easy. It takes practice, patience, and dedication. However, it is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. When you have a quiet mind, you can, not only be more observant of the aspects of your passive intellect but have more capacity to create purposeful thoughts.

One of the most important steps on the pathway to awakening your Life Force is that you need to understand your passive intellect, and how its thoughts and emotions hold influence. When your mind is quiet, you are more readily aware of your thoughts and emotions. This is not about suppressing your thoughts and emotions, but rather about becoming the observer of them.

An important component of Life Force Meditation is to leverage your active intellect, the part of your mind that operates consciously with awareness. This deliberate engagement is a crucial step along the transformative pathway which must be understood and consciously implemented. You must learn to bring calmness and quietness to your mind and become aware of the thoughts and emotions of the unconsciousness.

You will discover that the journey of awakening is an interplay between the active and passive aspects of the intellect, where you learn to navigate the labyrinth of your thoughts and emotions. The dormant potentialities of the Life Force, hold the capacity to either amplify the cacophony of unruly thoughts or, conversely, to quell the tumult and bring about a harmonious stillness. It is in the deliberate act of transcending the reactive patterns of the passive intellect and dismantling the stronghold of emotional immersion, that holds the true key to awakening and quelling the reactions of the passive intellect.

The Path to Inner Knowledge

Illumement as the path to inner knowledge encapsulates the journey of seeking enlightenment and clarity within, transcending the external distractions of the world to connect with the innermost aspects of your being, your Life Force.

Rooted in the idea that true wisdom is found not in external sources but within, Illumement requires that you embark on a transformative exploration of the self. To understand illumement is to understand creation, its energies and your place within creation as an energy being.

The essence of Illumement lies in the process of shedding light on the shadows of the mind, allowing you to unveil the hidden layers of thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. It involves practices such as introspection and meditation to help bring calmness, clarity and mastery within your mind. It is an important and regularly overlooked aspect of awakening as many people rush towards the proverbial end goal. However, you must learn to bring calmness and quietness to your mind, otherwise, as the energies of your Life Force awaken, these energies can ignite many emotions hidden deep within yourself.

Illumement is not a destination, but a continuous evolution and awakening of your inner self as you peel back the layers of conditioning, societal expectations, and egoic constructs. It encourages the integration of mind, body, and spirit (Life Force), fostering a harmonious connection with the true self. As you continue on the pathway of inner knowledge, the light of your Life Force shines progressively more into your mind.

Through higher states of illumement, you can experience the realities of the energies which exist within you and around you. The complexities and reality of the world around you can be more fully appreciated and understood, as these aspects of inner knowledge become accessible through the increasing awakening of your Life Force and an ever calm and quietened mind.

Discovering Mindful Moments

The concept of mindful moments emerges as a simple and effective means to offer a respite from the chaotic rhythm of modern existence. Rooted in Buddhist, meditation and mindfulness principles, these moments aim to cultivate a heightened awareness and presence in your day-to-day experiences. Rather than being swept away by the currents of constant activity, mindful moments invite you to anchor yourself in the present, focusing on the here and now, not lamenting the past or drifting off into the future. There are many opportunities in your life every day to be more observant. The more that you are observant, the more mindful moments you will discover every day.

The essence of mindful moments lies in the intentional redirection of attention to the unfolding present, untethered from the constraints of past regrets or future anxieties. Whether you are savouring the aroma of a morning cup of coffee, feeling the warmth of sunlight on your skin, smelling the fragrance of a nearby flower, or fully immersing in the rhythm of your breath, these moments become portals to a tranquil state of being. The practice encourages you to be observant of your surroundings, thoughts, and emotions without judgment. As you become absorbed in the moment, and truly observant with Ekagrata it may seem as if time slows down. Your perception of time alters as your mind is focused purely in the moment, observing and experiencing what is truly the here and now.

Incorporating this intentional practice into aspects of daily routine can provide you with the necessary respite from the hectic world in which we all seem to live. It can provide you with new insights, and new opportunities for happiness and joy. In this way, mindful moments are not fleeting respites, but rather a way of life, as you experience the fullness of each moment; finding connection in the simplicity of being present.

To achieve Meditation Mastery, you must develop heightened self-awareness, so you may learn to witness the ebb and flow of thoughts, emotions and feelings without judgement or attachment. You must learn to bring calmness and quietness to your mind, otherwise, as the energies of your Life Force awaken, these energies can feed the uncontrolled thoughts and emotions of your passive intellect.

The Vital Essence of Life

The concept of Life Force energy is both an ancient and universal principle permeating various spiritual and healing traditions. Also known as Prana, Chi, Soul or Qi, Life Force energy is considered the vital essence that animates all living things. The flow of this energy through your being is for maintaining health and vitality. There are many practices such as yoga, Tai Chi, and Qi gong are designed to enhance the flow of this vital energy, promoting a sense of harmony and balance within.

In understanding life force energy, you can embark on a journey toward holistic well-being. Realise that your existence is not merely a collection of physical processes but a dance of energies that extend beyond the boundaries of the material world.

By honouring and nurturing this vital essence, you open yourselves to the possibilities of improved health, heightened consciousness, and harmonious integration with the abundant energy that surrounds us. However, it is important to take a holistic approach to fully appreciate the range and effect of the energy of the inner Life Force; for without appropriate understanding of the energies of the Life Force and the mechanism in which it is contained, can result in imbalances or other issues.

What is the Light of Knowledge?

The Light of Knowledge is the first stage on the pathway of light as you begin the journey of self-discovery and spiritual awakening. It signifies the illumination of higher aspects of the self, revealing layers of consciousness and wisdom previously veiled in the shadows. It is a process of gaining profound insights into the nature of your being and understanding the intricate tapestry of thoughts, emotions, and feelings that shape your identity.

This knowledge is not confined to the surface, but delves into the depths of the soul or Life Force, unravelling the timeless truths that transcend the boundaries of ordinary perception.

Simultaneously, the Light of Knowledge extends its radiance to the energies flowing within and around you. It is an awakening to the subtle currents and vibrations weaving through the fabric of existence. This stage involves recognising the interconnectedness between yourself and the cosmic energies, fostering a deep sense of unity with the universal force.

As you progress in your understanding of the human mechanism, you gain insight into the operation of your mind and become more aware of the energies of your Life Force. This understanding and insight serve as a foundation for subsequent phases of the journey into higher states of consciousness. It is a journey that goes beyond intellectual understanding, providing you with the opportunity to integrate this newfound knowledge and learning into your life.

Ultimately, the Light of Knowledge is a beacon that beckons seekers such as yourself to delve deeper. Bathed in the transformative light of knowledge to explore the limitless realms of your inner

Comprehending Your Intuition

Deep down within all of us is a wellspring of wisdom, which is colloquially referred to as intuition. Listening to your intuition is a slow-learned process and one which some people never master in their lifetime. It starts by recognising that tiny inner voice or feeling that will tell you when you have done something wrong, or you may get a gnawing feeling in the pit of your stomach.

Some may consider the inner voice of intuition as your consciousness; however, it is actually your Life Force trying to bring some balance to your life and directing you in the proverbial right direction.

Taking the opportunity to listen to this inner voice or intuition is an important part of any spiritual journey. However it is imperative to recognise that this is not the voice of your mental mind, but that of your true inner self.

Allow Your Life Force to Shine

As a being of energy and light, you come into this world with the capability to shine the light of your existence out into the world. However, for many of us, our light has become dim and smothered in many layers of emotions. These layers of emotions, particularly those relating to regrets, smother the light. It is like being covered in many thick layers of dirt or mud.

Take a moment to believe that what has been done, is in the past. If you allow yourself to let go of some of the regrets that you hold onto, then you will have the opportunity to remove some of the layers of emotion which cloud the splendour of your true self. As you remove some of these layers of proverbial mud, you have the opportunity for the light of your Life Force to shine out from the darkness. Allow the light of your Life Force to break through the emotional barriers and colour the world around you every day.

Do Not Bury Your Emotions

Usually each of us does not have issues with thinking or expressing what would be identified as positive thoughts or emotions. Unfortunately, it is a normal human response to avoid or wish to bury difficult emotions, and even in some cases those which might seem to be neutral but have become taboo as a result of societal norms. Sequestering your emotions and thoughts can be an appropriate way of managing them from a mental mind standpoint. These subdued emotions will normally not create problems when you undertake mindfulness or basic meditation, as the power of your mind can maintain them metaphorically under control. Even if these concealed thoughts or emotions are not leading to problems, be aware that you have pushed them aside. Suppressing an emotion does not admonish an emotion. The emotion still exists within you, secreted in the background of your mind and subconscious. So for your own wellbeing, you should take the opportunity to understand them whenever the time is right.

The state of affairs changes considerably when you start on the pathway to the awakening of your inner light. It is very important to know that suppressing or subduing thoughts and emotions, especially the unfavourable ones, can be perilous as you advance on your journey of attunement or advanced meditation. As you progress with your meditation techniques, increasing levels of the power of your Life Force enlivens your form. These energies flow into all parts of your being from the energy centres and along the meridians. As these energies circulate throughout the human mechanism, their increased energy can activate thoughts or emotions which have been hidden, and may have laid dormant for years or even numerous lifetimes in the body’s think centres and chakras. When these energies trigger one of these suppressed thoughts or emotions, the intensity of that thought or emotion will be increased as a result of the greater energy levels from your awakening. Hopefully, you can now comprehend why it is so necessary to know yourself, to be aware of and understand all of your thoughts and emotions, even those which you might not wish to deal with.

Why am I Anxious when Meditating?

A common feeling that you may experience when starting to meditate is that of being anxious or nervous. First up, do not worry, as many people experience the same feelings when they do meditation, especially when starting or if they have had a gap or lapse in doing meditation.

When you first start meditation, you may feel uncomfortably awkward or out of kilter in some undefined way. This can be especially true if you lead a busy life, or there are lots of things which typically occur around you. These feelings are completely expected and a natural sensation as your mind has been used to the normal hustle and bustle of everyday life. The change of pace when you begin meditation can trigger feelings of anxiety or nervousness to name just a few.

If you do feel uneasy when practising meditation, then be aware it is your mind which is generating these sensations. It can be common for your mind to generate a FOMO (fear of missing out) as it attempts to re-establish its control over your life and your way of thinking.

There are several different ways to address your anxiousness when meditating. One obvious, but often overlooked method is to simply tell yourself that you are not anxious and it is just in your mind. Another effective way to help you feel less anxious is to simply lower your gaze to a spot on the floor or ground before you, rather than closing your eyes. Some other breathing techniques, such as Breathe with Purpose or Life-Force Meditation can assist you to become more comfortable when you start out meditating through the use of specially structured activities.
