Life Force the Meaning of Life

Many of us are each day seeking the proverbial meaning in life for the world in which we live. This is the seed which starts many people on a quest or journey of self-realisation. But this is not always straightforward, there are many different ways and many different options, and one which resonates with you may seem unintelligible to other people. Each of us will find meaning in what we discover when we awaken the knowledge which lies hidden and dormant within.

Most cultures have various beliefs that this is an innate energy within each of us which is not yet empirically identified. This idea of the Life Force or soul is universal, and is known by various names in different cultures – Prana in Hindu tradition, Atman in the early Buddhist context, Chi in the context of Chinese philosophy, Ki according to Japanese lore, the Soul in aspects of Christianity, Roohu in the domain of Sikhism, Jiva in Jainism, Pneuma to the ancients in Greek philosophy, and the list goes on. Regardless of the source, your Life Force is the essence of vitality, a component of the Universal Force, that exists within all humans.

To live your life as a Life Force being is to be attuned to the rhythms of the universe, and to cultivate practices that enhance the flow of energy within. Activities, such as meditation, can become a key tool in helping you to better understand and access this part of yourself. Energising your everyday existence through the conscious living of the Life Force transcends routine and monotony. It becomes a way of life, where it is possible to unlock the secrets of existence and bring that sought-after meaning into your life.

Discover the Comma to Pause

Embarking on the journey of life can sometimes feel like attempting to read a book or article without any punctuation; it can seem rushed, chaotic, and lacking the necessary pauses for reflection. Discovering the metaphorical comma draw in life introduces moments of pause and contemplation into our daily lives. Much like a well-placed comma in a sentence, these pauses allow us to take a breath, absorb our experiences, and give careful consideration to the unfolding narrative of our existence.

In this context, the comma draw in life serves as a deliberate choice to embrace moments to increase your awareness and deliberate introspection. In a society that increasingly glorifies constant activity and perpetual motion, the act of pausing as you notionally grab a comma becomes an important act of self-care. You are deliberately recognising the spaces between the hustle and bustle as opportunities, giving that chance for a pause, and fostering a deeper connection with yourself. By intentionally incorporating these commas (moments of stillness and reflection), you can add depth and meaning to the narrative of your life, allowing the richness of experience to settle and resonate, rather than pass by.

The art of the comma to pause, extends beyond personal well-being; it can influence the quality of our interactions and relationships. Just as a well-placed comma clarifies the meaning of a sentence, moments of pause in our interactions can enhance communication, foster understanding, provide time to think and nurture genuine connections. By embracing the metaphorical comma draw, you not only create a space for your thoughts but also open the door for more meaningful and nuanced dialogues with others. In a world that often values speed over everything else, discovering the power of the comma, offers the ability to pause, adding a layer of mindfulness and intentionality to our busy lives.

The Power of Imagination

The human mind is enamoured with the capability of conjuring vivid images, weaving intricate stories, and envisioning many different possibilities beyond the confines of reality. This innate power of imagination, when harnessed effectively, can be a useful tool for personal transformation and achieving your aspirations. Creative imagery, also known as visualisation, is a technique that taps into this reservoir of imagination, allowing you to shape your experiences and influence the course of your life.

The benefits of focused creative imagery extend far beyond mere daydreaming. It has been shown to enhance performance in sports, improve academic achievement, and help many people with personal growth. At its core, creative imagery involves engaging all the senses to construct a vivid mental landscape of desired outcomes. It is about putting in the effort to immerse ourselves in the sights, sounds, smells and sensations of our visualised outcomes or objectives as if they were already a part of our lived experiences.

This process of mental rehearsal allows you to cultivate a sense of belief and anticipation. Through appropriate training and practice, as you think and visualise, the energy of your mind can tap into the energies of your Life Force reinforcing the visualisation.

The power of creative imagery lies in its ability to bridge the gap between your thoughts and actions. Through spending time to visualise the desired outcome or situation, you not only are engaging your imagination in the process of creative imagery, but you are also instilling a sense of belief within your mind. You can become more attuned to opportunities and resources that align with your goals, and develop the resilience to persevere in the face of challenges. Creative imagery is one of the many tools which can assist you in taking control of your life, or to boost practices such as meditation, allowing you to actively shape your thinking and life.

What is Mind over Matter?

Many of us have heard the maxim of “mind over matter” emphasising the mastery of the mental landscape to shape the contours of reality. At its essence, this concept underscores the transformative power of your thoughts and beliefs in influencing, not only your perceptions but also the tangible outcomes of your life. In gaining mastery of your mental landscape, cultivating a conscious awareness of any thoughts that traverse your mind, is the first and most critical aspect. As you become more cognisant of your thoughts, you will understand their impact on your emotions and actions and ultimately harness this cognitive prowess to navigate the complexities of the human experience.

The mastery of the mental landscape is not a mere exercise in positive thinking; it is an intentional engagement with your mind’s capacity to shape and affect the reality you inhabit. By recognising the role your thoughts have as architects of your experience, you can build the skills to reshape the narrative of your life. This process involves not only cultivating a mindset that aligns with your aspirations, but also embracing resilience in the face of challenges, and fostering a deep sense of self-awareness that allows for intentional responses, rather than reactive patterns of the unconscious mind.

In understanding and practising mind over matter, you can become actively involved in the journey of your life, wielding the transformative power of thought to sculpt not only your mental landscape but the world around you; empowering you to the realisation of your fullest potential.

The Key to Personal Transformation

The exploration of how you think, and the unravelling of your thought patterns, offer you a key to making transformative changes in your life. Your thought patterns are the habitual ways in which your mind processes information and responds to situations. Often these processes and patterns of thinking operate proverbially below the surface, beneath the surface of your consciousness. However, these thought patterns shape your beliefs, behaviours, and overall life experiences. The notional journey of personal transformation involves peeling back the layers of these ingrained thought patterns, shedding light on their origins, and consciously reweaving the fabric of your cognitive landscape.

Unravelling your thought patterns begins with self-awareness and mindful observation of the recurring thoughts that govern your perceptions and actions. Identifying these patterns as they occur without attachment, can allow you to discern whether these mental habits contribute to positive growth and experiences, or hinder, confound or delay aspects in your life. Once recognised, the process of unravelling involves challenging and reframing the limiting or undesirable thought patterns. Once challenged, you can stop any reactionary or subconscious thoughts or actions. You can consciously choose thoughts that align with your aspirations and how you want to become.

The profound impact of unravelling thought patterns lies in its ripple effect across various facets of life. As you learn to be aware of your thoughts and actions, you can begin to dismantle the limiting cognitive processes which may have previously ruled or even ruined your life. This intentional exploration and transformation of your thought patterns act as a catalyst for improved personal development, empowering you to navigate challenges with newfound clarity, cultivate positive relationships, and ultimately shape a life aligned with your authentic self.

What You Think Matters

Thoughts are like the proverbial seeds planted in the fertile soil of your mind, sanctioned by the energies of your mind, thoughts have the power to sprout into the experiences that colour your existence. This rather simple, but often overlooked aspect of the human psyche is perfectly encapsulated in the adage “As you think, so shall you become.” Which underscores the influential role that your thoughts play in determining the trajectory of your life.

The impact of thoughts on your lives is not merely confined to the realm of self-fulfilling prophecies; it extends to the very fabric of your experiences and interactions. Your thoughts have a direct correlation to your emotions and feelings, affecting all aspects of your mental and emotional well-being. Positive thoughts act as catalysts for resilience, creativity, and growth; while negative or detrimental thoughts can cast shadows that dim the light of your potential.

Understanding this dynamic is a cornerstone of how thoughts impact your life. Taking a mindful approach to thinking can truly bring benefits. Recognise that the quality of your thoughts shapes the landscape of your emotions, affects your decisions, and ultimately, influences the reality which you inhabit. The profound truth is that what you think truly matters, serving as one of the architects shaping all aspects of your reality.

Karmic Threads – Understanding Life’s Interconnectedness

The concept of karmic threads weaves a narrative of interconnectedness that transcends time and space. Rooted in Eastern philosophies, karmic threads are built on the basis that every action, thought, and intention sets in motion a series of interwoven threads, creating a complex web that influences the course of our lives. Recognising that your present circumstances are not isolated incidents, but rather the outcomes of the intricate weaving of past thoughts, actions, and intentions into the tapestry of life.

The underlying principle of karmic threads is that of cause and effect, suggesting that the choices you have made reverberate through the fabric of your life and extend into the lives of others around you. By understanding the interconnected nature of your actions, it is possible to gain a small insight into the intricate dance of fate and free will. If you allow it, your awareness of these karmic threads can become a guiding force, inviting you to be more readily mindful and intentional in all aspects of your daily life. Weave threads which will benefit yourself and others, rather than creating threads which will disrupt the fabric of the world around you.

Karmic threads are also a reminder of the potential for growth and transformation. As you navigate the twists and turns of life, you encounter threads woven by yourself and the universe. Through conscious choices, you have the power to determine how to react to the karmic threads. You can choose to mend and strengthen the threads that bind us, fostering a tapestry of greater harmony and understanding. In embracing this philosophy of karmic threads, you embark on a lifetime journey of responsibility and empowerment, acknowledging the interconnectedness of all life and your role as active participants in shaping its unfolding narrative.

Emotional Alchemy Transforming Your Emotions

Some people have discovered great success by utilising a set of techniques known collectively as Emotional Alchemy. This pertains to the process of altering your emotions into different states. The concept can be likened to the alchemists’ objective of transforming ordinary metals into gold. Similarly, you possess the ability to transmute what may initially appear as negative emotions into higher ones, through the practice of awareness and understanding.

Starting the process of emotional alchemy requires embracing emotions without judgment or resistance. By ceasing to engage in a battle against your emotions, and instead becoming an observer with acceptance, you create room for transformation. When you acknowledge and validate your emotions, you honour your authentic self, your Life Force, thereby fostering an environment conducive to personal growth.

For an efficient restoration of emotional equilibrium, it is crucial to engage with your Life Force. Understanding emotions as a form of energy allows you to work with your Life Force for better comprehension and eventual transformation of those energies. By cultivating a harmonious connection with your Life Force, you can heighten emotional awareness and better regulate your reactions. Techniques such as meditation, yoga, qigong, and tai chi are structured to balance and enhance the flow of chi, establishing a solid foundation on which you can begin this transformative process.

Surpassing the Limits of Your Mind

The journey of surpassing the limits of your mind unfolds as you begin to balance and harmonise with the energies of your Life Force, unlocking the transformative power that lies within the depths of your being. At the heart of this journey is the delicate balance and harmonisation with the energies of your Life Force. As you consciously engage with your Life Force, a transformation begins with the gradual awakening of the Life Force Mind. The awakening of your Life Force Mind marks a shift from the dominance of the mental mind and passive intellect, to one where the Life Force Mind begins to assert control.

As the Life Force Mind asserts control, you will gain a heightened ability to navigate the ebb and flow of emotions and to better master your thoughts. However, it is important to realise that this is a transformative process, and is not a rejection of the mental mind. It is an elevation of consciousness that transcends the limitations of mere cognitive processes, giving you a profound sense of inner stability in the face of life’s challenges.

Life Force Meditation enlivens the Life Force with a dedicated purpose of thought. It transcends the boundaries of typical meditation states, mindfulness, and positive thinking, all of which, while valuable, remain tethered to the limitations of the mental mind. Through the application of directives or commanding thoughts placed in the back of the mind, you can gradually awaken these unrealised aspects of your Life Force.

As you engage in Life Force Meditation through the use of Cognition, you will discover a realm where thoughts are not just fleeting patterns, but expressions of a higher, more expansive awareness. The potential is within each of us to awaken to a state where the mental mind becomes a tool, not the master, and the Life Force emerges as the guiding force toward a more profound and harmonious existence.

Sorry can be the Hardest Word

Do not be afraid to be the one to say sorry after an argument or disagreement, even if you think you are in the right. Being sorry is not about taking a proverbial side, winning or losing. It is an exploration into the realm of friendships and relationships which underscores the transformative power of humility, gratitude, and the acceptance that compromise should be seen as a cornerstone of harmonious connections.

In the heat of disagreements, the ego often stands tall, fuelling the belief that admitting fault or offering an apology is a sign of weakness. However, the opposite holds true. Apologising requires a deep well of strength and self-awareness, an acknowledgement that relationships are nuanced, and the pursuit of being right at the expense of connection is a hollow victory. Learning to say sorry becomes a bridge that spans the chasm created by disagreements, fostering understanding, and fortifying the foundation of trust.

The essence of compromise is a hard lesson to grasp, especially in a world that increasingly fosters individuality and the pursuit of personal desires. Yet, as you navigate the complex web of relationships, both personal and professional, hopefully, you may realise that compromise is not a surrender or loss. It is an acknowledgement that more often than not, we need to work together in life to achieve mutual understanding and shared happiness.

Gratitude becomes the natural offspring of the willingness to apologise and compromise. When you embrace the humility required to say sorry, it can help you to better appreciate the friendships and relationships around you. Gratitude allows you to shift the focus from what is lacking or perceived to be lost, to what is present or achieved. In the act of saying sorry, you can not only mend interpersonal bridges, but also cultivate a grateful heart that sees the richness of what already exists.

Realise that simply saying sorry can make such a difference, whether it is to defuse a situation or to make things right. So take the time to contemplate that being sorry is not so difficult to achieve.

Observation can be Your Teacher

The simple statement “If you observe, everything is your teacher” is often overlooked by people as they seek the next big thing in life. However, there is great wisdom in this statement which transcends traditional notions of learning, urging you to recognise that every moment and every circumstance carries within it the potential for profound insights and growth. This concept echoes the wisdom of many spiritual traditions while emphasising the interconnectedness of all things. Teachings are inherently embedded in the fabric of existence.

In adopting this perspective, you become open to the rich tapestry of lessons woven into the very fabric of life. Nature becomes a mentor, whispering lessons about resilience, impermanence, and interconnectedness. Interactions with people, whether harmonious or challenging, become mirrors reflecting various aspects of yourself, providing opportunities for self-awareness and understanding.

Observation is the real key to unlocking the teachings that permeate every facet of existence. It is the cornerstone of learning, and through mindful awareness, you can uncover the teachings that await in every moment. It is also an intentional choice to engage with the world with your open eyes and a receptive mind. When you adopt the mindset that everything is a teacher, the mundane can transform into the extraordinary, becoming a source of learning.

Embracing this idea that everything is a teacher, is a transformative shift in perception. It is an acknowledgement that growth is not confined to formal institutions or specific experiences, but is a continuous, ever-present journey.

Escaping Emotional Jail

Emotional Jail is a powerful metaphor that encapsulates an entrapment which you may experience, due to the web of self-limiting thoughts and emotions manifesting when you get into a so-called emotional state. When you get deeply emotional, it becomes hard to recognise the barriers built by the passive intellect of the mind. In the throes of an emotional state, the passive intellect orchestrates a relentless parade of self-limiting thoughts and corresponding emotions, constructing an intricate tapestry of limitations and excuses. These thought patterns become the bars of your emotional jail, restricting your ability to think clearly. This metaphorical emotional prison is not only a construct of your mind, but also an energetic state that takes its toll on your mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

Escaping your emotional jail is about how you can learn transformative techniques to break the chain of emotional cause and effect. Thereby giving you an opportunity to break free from this emotional quagmire of your own construction.

The journey to escape the emotional jail is an inner odyssey, requiring commitment to mindful awareness and bringing forward cognitive mastery. As you cultivate these skills, they can help you to become aware of the thoughts and emotions which have formed the prison bars and walls. Being aware is the first step to being able to dismantle the walls of self-imposed limitations, creating an opening for renewed mental and emotional freedom. Escaping your emotional jail, requires reclaiming control over your thoughts and emotions, unlocking the potential for a more liberated, empowered, and balanced existence.

Entering into a state of cognition is an extremely useful key to unlocking your emotional jail. This is not a passive quietening of your mind, but a deliberate and focused effort to silence the cacophony of the thoughts. Cognition involves a dedicated purpose of thought, a specific conscious redirection of mental energy toward constructive, empowering, and liberating perspectives. By quietening the mind with intention, you can create a space for clarity, and the dissolution of the emotional jail’s energetic grip.

Not Your Way

How often have you seen or read something and immediately dismissed the notion with the thought I know better? It is a common human trait. Some of us build very strong personas over our lifetime where we believe our thoughts or views are the right or only way.

Releasing the grip on the notion that your way of viewing, thinking or even being is the only way, can help to open your mind to new ideas and possibilities. Letting go of the idea that “Your Way is the Only Way” may prove difficult for some people, but doing so can often provide great opportunities for learning or collaboration. It is always good to be open to new perspectives, as invariably other people will have had different life experiences, and thus will see things slightly differently from how you see things. This shift in mindset can be very helpful in many aspects of life, even if you then later choose your solution or approach after having considered other perspectives.

This same notion holds true for any activity which you decide to take for self-improvement, spiritual development or awakening. Always try to have an open mind when you are presented with a new or different way of doing things. You may be surprised at what you may learn in the process. Sometimes this learning may not come directly from what you have undertaken, but arises as a result of having opened your mind to new possibilities.

Your World in Your Mind

The perception of the world around you is greatly influenced by the state of your mind as you experience the world through your mind. These perceptions are not mere reflections of the outside world, but are powerful filters on life. The lens through which you view the world is shaped by the state of your own consciousness.

This symbiotic relationship between internal states and external experiences highlights the pivotal role of perception in shaping our interpretation of reality. This important fact acknowledges that your inner landscape, teeming with thoughts, emotions, and feelings acts as the master painter, imparting hues and tones to the canvas of your reality.

Once you become more aware that your mind colours your perceptions of the world around you, you can begin to appreciate how these perceptions can be altered. If your mind is clouded with negative or despondent thoughts, the world may be manifest in a gloomy hue. Conversely, when your mind is filled with happiness, the world will take on a similar positive outlook.

By understanding the profound impact your mind can have in your life, you can take the opportunity to alter or recolour your perceptions. You are capable of changing the ordinary into the extraordinary and shaping a world that resonates with the vibrancy of your innermost thoughts and emotions.

Live in the Moment

Whatever the past was, it is now gone. There is nothing you can do to change anything that has gone before. Turn your attention to the here and now. It is hard to resist the allure of dwelling on what has gone before. But if you want to be successful in your life, you must turn your attention to what is happening to you right now. You might be tempted to dwell on the past because it was awful, or because it was wonderful. Either way, you have to leave it behind, because the only way to live is in the present.

If you revisit the past because of regrets, then you should realise that you can’t go back and undo what you have done. The reality is that we have all made some form of one or more decisions in the past which we later regret, but that is the past. If you hang on to guilt, you are only damaging yourself, feeding a new cycle of emotion which could lead you to a very similar situation. What you can do is learn from the past. Acknowledge the choices you made and do your best to make better choices now and in the future.

If on the other hand, you yearn for the proverbial good old days. Take the opportunity to appreciate the memories, but also move on and put your efforts into finding happiness in the present. We all have to leave things behind and discover the opportunities which lay in the present to create additional positive memories.

It can be helpful to see the past as a separate part of your life, like a different room in your house such as a library filled with books of your memories. You can visit this room, but importantly it is not where you live your life, or at least you shouldn’t.

Savour all the moments that life offers by treating every second as important and precious. Don’t waste it unnecessarily living in the past. Live in the now for a more fulfilling life.
