What is Meditation?

For many of us, we all have fallen into a pattern of unconsciously rushing through our lives. We do not notice the world around us or within us – and it is affecting our health and our happiness.

Meditation can include virtually any practice that focuses your attention for a period of time, or is the act of paying attention to only one thing. Meditation may be used with the aim of reducing stress, anxiety, depression, or pain; with the perceived benefits of increasing happiness, wellbeing and self-realisation.

Task your mind and meditation practices with a renewed focus, leveraging your active intellect to bring about a quietness and calmness of your mind.

How your Mind Controls your Life

Very few of us understand, nor comprehend, how much we become completely involved with our strong thoughts and emotional reactions in our lives. Being so involved, we never have the opportunity to consider that it is our mind, which creates a very large percentage of the sickness, unhappiness, fear and even depression.

In life, you have the choice of how you react. Through active intellect, you can choose to stay balanced and in control, or you respond by sliding into pre-programmed patterns of thinking, excuses and the emotional reactions of your passive intellect. Take the opportunity to pause and reflect on how thoughts and emotional reactions may be affecting you, then make choice to bring about a change.

What is Harmlessness?

Harmlessness instils a strength of purpose and volition within your life for full attainment of your intentions. Harmlessness achieved through illumement springs from the control of your passive intellect, and through the understanding of your mind and persona.

True harmlessness works through right thought, governed by active intellect; right speech, governed by self-control and manifest into right action. This inevitably leads to a higher expression of yourself into your everyday life. Consider how to incorporate harmlessness into your everyday life.

Achieving True Reality

Achieving true reality can only be achieved by taking control of your mind. You must learn to control your own thoughts, emotions & feelings. Through the light of understanding, you can access your true self, freeing you to become a Life Force being of the universe.

Starting Out

The fundamental Starting Out activity looks at your intentions for undertaking activities such as meditation or mindfulness. Then the activity examines how your mindset, inspiration and motivation play their parts to keep you focused and bring control to your mind.

The activity includes an exercise on mindful breathing to enable you to centre yourself. The Line of Light procedure is presented in the first principles to provide a method to bring calmness to your mind.

Be Mindful with Attention

Many of us have embarked upon a mindfulness journey with the desire to relieve stress or achieve some calmness in our lives. Applying mindfulness, to pay attention to the present moment gives you the opportunity to be observant of your own thoughts, feelings and emotions, as well as aspects of the world around you.

A key principle of any mindful practice you undertake should provide you with the means to direct your attention to where it is needed.

Building Effective Habits

You should strive to create habits in the way in which you want to be. Make a habit to think and evaluate more; effectively putting your conscious mind into gear before reacting to life.

Everything you do, you should do thoroughly, and to the best of your ability. No matter what you do in life, be proud of what you are and what you do. Always aim to be that person of warmth and kindness with a sense of happiness and humour within you at all times.

Become Master of your Reactions

Stop and learn to control your mind, rather than your mind, emotions and feelings being the master of your life. Tapping into the energies of your Life Force, through Cognition, which can move you out of the patterns of your passive intellect. Doing so, allows you to free your mind from your mental and emotional limitations.

Applying these skills in your daily life, can help you to change your mental wavelengths to stay calm, balanced and in control.

A Thinking Mind to Evaluate Reason & Learn

You have a mind to think, evaluate, reason & learn. Energy is the catalyst and creative force of the universe and life within it, which brings into existence atoms, molecules, planets, stars and galaxies. The human form is created of the same substance and controlled by the same energies; but is endowed with a mind to think, evaluate, reason and learn.

Take the time to pause and think with active intellect, so that you can master your own thoughts.

Focused Thought

Your thoughts are the most powerful when focused with intent. When your thoughts lack focus, it is akin to light passing through a prism compared to passing through a magnifying glass. While light may travel through both the prism and the magnifying glass, what happens to the light afterwards is very different. The same is true of your thoughts, learn how to focus your thoughts, rather than let them be scattered. Many of the practices which are embodied in mindfulness and meditation can help you to focus your thoughts, while true ekagrata can be achieved through Life Force Cognition.

What is Kindness?

Kindness is more than just a word or an expression, but is manifest through your actions of harmlessness every day. Harmlessness can help to restore the balance of causality in your life. So today and every day, be that person of true harmlessness to spread kindness and happiness into the world around you.
